To empower dancers to thrive in their craft and support survivors of Traumatic Brain Injuries on their journey to recovery, the Grace Baca Foundation is committed to providing comprehensive resources, fostering community engagement, and advocating for awareness and understanding.
The Grace Baca Foundation was founded in 2023 by Megan Baca in honor of her daughter, Gracie, who passed away as the result of a Traumatic Brain Injury sustained during a motor vehicle accident. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.
The Grace Baca Foundation is dedicated to two very important causes in remembrance of Gracie. One cause supported by this foundation is dedicated to empowering dancers of all ages and backgrounds in support of Gracie’s love of dance. The second pillar of our foundation supports adolescents who have suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Unintentional injuries are the leading cause of death in children. Of all the types of traumatic injuries, brain injuries are the most likely to result in death or permanent disability. Our vision is a world where dancers are equipped with the necessary tools to excel in their passion, and TBI survivors receive the support and opportunities they need to reclaim their lives with dignity and resilience. We hope to further support both of these missions by utilizing dance as a form of TBI rehabilitation. Through collaboration, innovation, and compassion, we strive to create a society where both communities flourish, inspiring hope and transformation.
Your gift can help us with our mission to support young TBI survivors with medical and Rehabilitation costs, as well as the growth and development of dancers. Your donation will help expand our programs and provide scholarships and financial support TBI survivors and dancers. Contact us today for more information!
